Prior to joining Techstars, she was the Chief Revenue Officer at Chord, a headless commerce platform company, where she was responsible for the strategy, performance, and integration of all of the organization’s revenue operations and corporate development.

Melissa has extensive experience advising and investing in startups including serving as a member of the investment team at Tech Square Ventures (TSV). While at TSV she sourced and executed news deals, supported their portfolio of 50+ B2B SaaS companies with GTM and fundraising guidance, and managed all investment activity for the Engage accelerator in partnership with their 15 category-leading Fortune 100 corporate partners. She remains an EIR at the firm. Prior to joining Tech Square Ventures, Melissa spent more than a decade scaling startups from pre-revenue through series C growth, resulting in six acquisitions.

Melissa’s domain expertise is in ecommerce, strategic partnerships, Go-to-Market Strategy, and fundraising. Melissa graduated from Georgetown University earning a B.A. in Government.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for Music Heals International.
